Ariana Grande is giving fans even more ways to experience petal. Less than a week after releasing her new album, the pop superstar has unveiled complete a cappella and instrumental editions of the record, adding fresh momentum to what is already shaping up to be one of 2026’s biggest album launches.
Released today through Ariana Grande’s official digital channels, the two companion versions include all 12 tracks from petal. The collections are available as digital downloads for $7.99 each through her online store. The move comes as petal continues its dominant commercial run, with the new editions already helping Ariana Grande occupy the top two spots on the U.S. iTunes Albums chart.
The rollout appears designed to further strengthen first-week sales ahead of the Billboard 200 tracking deadline. Deluxe digital editions, alternate versions and exclusive releases have increasingly become part of album campaigns, and Grande has embraced that strategy throughout the petal era.
The original album arrived on July 31, featuring 12 tracks co-written and executive-produced primarily alongside longtime collaborator Ilya Salmanzadeh, with Max Martin contributing to select songs. Sonically, petal blends pop, R&B and hip-hop influences while exploring resilience, self-worth, fame and personal growth through the central metaphor of a flower pushing through concrete.
Today’s release follows another surprise digital package issued just days ago. On August 4, Grande unveiled the hello, i love to sing edition of “petal,” which paired the studio recording with exclusive live performances of “stay” and “oh well” captured during the ongoing Eternal Sunshine Tour. That edition was initially made available exclusively through iTunes, giving fans additional content while extending the album’s visibility during its crucial debut week.
Commercially, petal has already delivered one of the year’s strongest openings. The album generated 62.19 million Spotify streams globally on its first day, while all 12 songs simultaneously entered the Daily Global Spotify Chart. The title track debuted at No. 1 with 7.822 million streams, helping Grande finish July 31 as Spotify’s most-streamed artist worldwide.
Industry projections also remain exceptionally strong. Early estimates indicate petal is headed for a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 with 300,000 equivalent album units, positioning it for the second-biggest opening week of Ariana Grande’s career and one of the largest album debuts of 2026.
