Yesterday, December 17, Ariana Grande attended the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Luncheon. She recently earned her first Golden Globes nomination for her role in Wicked.

Speaking to Variety about her career priorities, Ariana shared her thoughts on balancing music and acting after her transformative experience in the highly anticipated Wicked adaptation. While music remains central to her identity, she explained that touring isn’t part of her immediate plans. “I feel so grateful to acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don’t see it coming anytime soon,” she said.

She also reflected on her current artistic journey, saying, “I think the next few years, hopefully, we’ll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now.”

The “Positions” singer has spent the past two years deeply immersed in her role as Glinda the Good Witch in the two-part Wicked film adaptation, directed by Jon M. Chu. The project has been a significant artistic endeavor for Ariana, with the second part of the movie set to debut in less than a year.

Ariana expressed her gratitude for her fans’ unwavering patience and support during this new chapter. “I’m so grateful for the ways in which we’ve grown together over this whole journey with Wicked,” she said. While touring may not be in her immediate future, she reassured fans that music remains a vital part of her identity. “Music will always be a part of my life,” she added.
