Drake’s record-breaking week just added another historic chapter. After dominating the Billboard 200 with an unprecedented triple top-three debut, the rapper’s latest album ICEMAN has now posted one of the biggest first weeks in Spotify history.

The project debuted with a staggering 450.4 million global Spotify streams in the tracking week ending May 21, making it the second-biggest streaming week of 2026. Only BTS’ ARIRANG, which opened with more than 525 million streams earlier this year, posted a larger frame. Across all releases this week, ICEMAN comfortably finished as Spotify’s most-streamed album worldwide.

The milestone adds to an already extraordinary commercial run for Drake, whose surprise May 15 release strategy reshaped chart history across multiple markets. Released immediately after the final installment of his ICEMAN livestream series, the rollout included 43 new tracks spread across ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR.

Historically, ICEMAN now holds the 13th biggest streaming week ever recorded for an album on Spotify. Within rap and hip-hop, only four projects have opened bigger: Travis Scott’s Utopia with 456 million, Playboi Carti’s Music with 490 million, Drake’s own Certified Lover Boy with 497 million, and Scorpion, which remains the genre’s benchmark at 559 million.

Much of ICEMAN’s first-week total was driven by “Janice STFU,” which launched with 39.2 million streams, making it the third most-streamed song globally during the week ending May 21. Several other tracks posted equally impressive starts across Spotify’s Weekly Global chart.

“Ran To Atlanta,” featuring Future and Molly Santana, opened at No. 5 with 36.1 million streams, while “National Treasures” landed at No. 6 with 35.6 million. “Whisper My Name” followed at No. 7 with 34.3 million, and “Make Them Cry” — which had already broken Spotify’s single-day streaming record for a hip-hop track upon release — debuted at No. 10 with 31.5 million.

Drake’s chart occupation extended well beyond a handful of singles. Across ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR, the rapper placed 25 songs simultaneously on Spotify’s Weekly Global chart.

The Spotify feat completes what has already become one of the most dominant opening weeks of Drake’s career. He became the first artist in Billboard 200 history to debut three albums simultaneously inside the top three, with ICEMAN arriving at No. 1 with 463,000 equivalent album units, followed by HABIBTI at No. 2 and MAID OF HONOUR at No. 3.

That historic chart sweep also secured Drake’s 15th Billboard 200 No. 1 album, pushing him past Jay-Z for the most among rappers and tying Taylor Swift for the most by any solo artist.
