A$AP Rocky has finally delivered the update fans have been waiting for. During his headlining set at Camp Flog Gnaw on Sunday, Nov. 23, the Harlem rapper revealed the official release date for his long-delayed album Don’t Be Dumb. Midway through his performance, Rocky stepped onstage wearing a custom jacket emblazoned with the date “January 16, 2026,” confirming that the project is only weeks away from arrival.

The announcement marks a major shift from Rocky’s previous stance. In recent interviews, the rapper made it clear that he was done discussing timelines after several missed targets. Speaking with Numéro Magazine, he admitted he regretted offering premature dates and preferred to “let the music speak for itself.” But Sunday’s reveal suggests that confidence in the project is now stronger than ever and that Don’t Be Dumb is completed and locked in.

The album has been surrounded by anticipation for years. Originally announced during Paris Fashion Week in 2024, Don’t Be Dumb was at one point expected in August 2025. However, the release repeatedly shifted as Rocky balanced music with major changes in his personal life. In an interview with ELLE last month, he explained that fatherhood and family commitments naturally slowed the rollout. “Life was lifeing,” he said. “I gotta be present for my family, because that’s first.”

Several songs from the album have already been previewed, including “Highjack” with Jessica Pratt, “Ruby Rosary” featuring J. Cole, and “Pray4DaGang” with KayCyy.
