Saturday Night Live is officially back. The iconic NBC sketch comedy show launches its 51st season tonight, October 4, 2025, airing live from Studio 8H in New York City at 11:30 p.m. ET / 10:30 p.m. CT / 8:30 p.m. PT, with simultaneous streaming available on Peacock. Following last spring’s landmark 50th anniversary season, SNL’s return marks the beginning of a new era — one with fresh faces, new writers, and a dynamic mix of talent leading the charge.

Bad Bunny Returns as Host

Bad Bunny returns to host for the second time, making history yet again. His first hosting stint came in October 2023 (Season 49), when he pulled double duty as both host and musical guest. This time, he steps onto the stage fresh off the announcement that he will headline the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show. In addition, Bad Bunny becomes the first SNL host to appear immediately after serving as a musical guest in the previous season’s finale (Season 50, hosted by Scarlett Johansson).

Doja Cat Makes Her SNL Debut

Joining him as musical guest is Doja Cat, performing songs from her newly released fifth studio album, Vie. The pop superstar is set to deliver her first-ever SNL performance.

Cast 

The Season 51 cast introduces a refreshed ensemble following major turnover. The show currently features 18 cast members — 13 repertory players and 5 featured players.

Returning veterans include:

Kenan Thompson, extending his record into a 23rd season

Colin Jost and Michael Che, continuing as co-anchors on Weekend Update

Chloe Fineman, Bowen Yang, Andrew Dismukes, Mikey Day, and James Austin Johnson.

Promoted repertory players include Marcello Hernández, while five newcomers — Ben Marshall, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska — join as featured cast members.
