BIA has finally opened up about her long-rumored collaborations with Ariana Grande — and why fans never got to hear them. In a new interview with Billboard, the Boston-born rapper revealed that clearance issues and label delays were the main reasons the songs never made it to release.

“‘Esta Noche,’ we had a clearance issue with that,” BIA said. “We tried to get that cleared for so long. We all wanted it to come out, but there was a clearance issue, and we didn’t end up getting it figured out until years later. And I think for Sweetener, one of the songs was ‘More.’ That was her song.”

According to BIA, Ariana Grande is featured on her unreleased track “Esta Noche,” while the two also recorded another collaboration titled “More” for Sweetener. Though both songs have circulated in fan discussions and leak forums for years, neither track has ever been officially released.

The pair’s creative connection dates back to 2017, when BIA joined Grande as an opening act on select European dates of the Dangerous Woman Tour. During the tour, the duo debuted “Esta Noche,” which blended elements of hip-hop and Latin music. The song was rumored to appear on BIA’s debut EP Trap Vogue, but after multiple pushbacks to the release date, it never saw the light of day.
