LISA has officially announced—by surprise—the release of her upcoming cinematic short film Dream, set to premiere on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11 p.m. EST (Thursday, August 14, 11 a.m. PHT).
The project pairs LISA with acclaimed Japanese actor and model Kentaro Sakaguchi, bringing her song “Dream” to life in an emotional, story-driven visual format. Here’s what you need to know.

The short film draws inspiration from the track “Dream,” the thirteenth song on LISA’s debut solo album ALTER EGO, released on February 28. That album, which explored five alter egos—Roxi, Sunni, Kiki, Speedi, and Vixi—earned both critical praise and commercial success, debuting and peaking at No. 7 on the Billboard 200.
Describing the project, LISA called it “an emotional, beautiful story that will soon be yours.” The announcement was accompanied by a black-and-white poster with romantic tones and hints of melancholy.
Within minutes of the reveal, BLINKs—BLACKPINK’s dedicated fandom—flooded the comments section. “Can’t wait!!!” one commented. “OH MY GOSH LISA OH MY GOSH I CAN’T WAIT, IT’S GONNA BE SO GOOD,” another added.
This is not the first time LISA has showcased her acting talents. Recently, the K-pop idol starred in The White Lotus, marking her debut on the small screen.
The release of Dream comes just days before BLACKPINK’s highly anticipated shows at Wembley Stadium on August 15 and 16 as part of their ‘DEADLINE’ World Tour.
