Bruno Mars has postponed tonight’s May 23 concert at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium due to inclement weather, pushing the opening date of his five-show Toronto run to May 31, 2026. The performance was set to kick off the final stretch of the first North American leg of his blockbuster Romantic Tour before the trek heads overseas for its European launch on June 18 in Paris.
The announcement came directly from Rogers Stadium just hours before doors were expected to open. In an official statement, the venue said: “Due to inclement weather, tonight’s Bruno Mars show in Toronto at Rogers Stadium has been rescheduled to May 31, 2026. The safety of our guests, artists, crew and staff remains our top priority. All previously purchased tickets will be honoured for the new date. More information will be communicated directly to ticketholders through Ticketmaster and available on the Rogers Stadium app.”
Mars also addressed fans personally, offering reassurance after the abrupt schedule change. “I never want this but I need everyone to be safe in order to have a good time. I’ll make it up to you Toronto on the 31st. I promise! love, Rice Man,” he wrote.
The postponement slightly reshuffles what has already been one of 2026’s most in-demand touring events. Mars launched The Romantic Tour on April 10 at Park MGM in Las Vegas, opening with a nearly 30-song set that introduced material from his fourth studio album The Romantic while revisiting signature hits from across his catalog. New tracks including “Risk It All” and “I Just Might” have played a central role in the show, with the latter recently climbing to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Opening night in Las Vegas quickly set the tone for the run, blending tightly choreographed production with Mars’ trademark spontaneity. During the show, he joked with longtime collaborator Anderson .Paak, appearing as DJ Pee .Wee, while also referencing the tour’s staggering demand. According to Live Nation, The Romantic Tour moved 2.1 million tickets in a single day, the highest one-day sales volume in the company’s history.
The 70-date global trek marks Mars’ first full headline run in nearly a decade and follows his successful 2025 Las Vegas residency. Toronto serves as the final North American stop before the production moves to Europe, where dates begin June 18 in Paris with support from select guests including RAYE, Leon Thomas and Victoria Monét.
