Bruno Mars has officially rewritten the touring playbook. According to Forbes, the singer’s newly announced The Romantic Tour generated the largest single-day ticket sales volume in Live Nation history, moving an extraordinary 2.1 million tickets across North America, Europe, and the UK. The figure was later confirmed by Live Nation.
In a statement, Live Nation underscored the scale of the moment. “Bruno Mars is already shattering records worldwide with The Romantic Tour,” the company said. “His first full headline tour in almost 10 years and first-ever global stadium run will span 70 dates across North America, Europe, and the UK, shaping up to be one of the largest global tours of the year.” The response was immediate and overwhelming. Fans flooded presales in unprecedented numbers, with many reporting queues exceeding 200,000 people at a time.
That demand forced a rapid expansion of the itinerary. More than 30 additional shows were added within days of the initial announcement. While Mars has remained a dominant streaming and radio presence, The Romantic Tour marks his first major solo headline run since 2017, and his first global stadium tour ever.
The tour launches April 10 and serves as the live counterpart to Mars’ upcoming fourth studio album, The Romantic, set for release on February 27. Interest in the record has been building quietly for months. Earlier this month, Mars ended years of speculation with a brief confirmation that the album was finished. Days later, the lead single “I Just Might” arrived, debuting at and peaking at No. 3 on Spotify’s Daily Global Chart. In addition, Mars’ entire discography is experiencing a significant renaissance on Spotify, with tracks like “Locked Out of Heaven” and “Nothin’ On You” quickly climbing the charts.
Adding to the appeal is a carefully curated lineup of collaborators. Anderson .Paak will appear throughout the run in his DJ Pee .Wee persona, extending the creative partnership that defined An Evening with Silk Sonic. Select dates will also feature Leon Thomas, RAYE, and Victoria Monét.
