The first-ever FIFA World Cup halftime show is now available to watch in full. FIFA has officially uploaded the complete 11-minute performance to its YouTube channel in collaboration with Global Citizen and BTS’ official YouTube channel, giving fans another chance to experience one of the tournament’s biggest talking points.
Released shortly after Spain defeated Argentina to lift its second FIFA World Cup title, the video includes every major performance from the historic production, beginning with Madonna’s opening moments and closing with Shakira and Burna Boy’s tournament anthem, “Dai Dai.”
Held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 19, the halftime show marked the first time FIFA adopted a Super Bowl-style entertainment format during a World Cup final. Curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and produced alongside Global Citizen, the performance fit into a specially extended 17-minute halftime break while raising awareness for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to generate $100 million for youth sports and education initiatives worldwide.
The newly released video features Madonna, BTS, Justin Bieber, Shakira and Burna Boy, showcasing the entire production without interruptions. Madonna opened with a performance of her classic hit “Music,” accompanied by conductor Gustavo Dudamel, members of the New York Philharmonic, Venezuela’s Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra and the PS22 Chorus.
Momentum shifted to BTS, who performed “Dynamite.” The appearance also marked Jungkook’s second FIFA World Cup ceremony following his solo performance during the 2022 tournament in Qatar, making him the first Asian artist to achieve that milestone.
Justin Bieber followed with a stripped-back rendition of “Everything Hallelujah,” performing the song with only a guitar after being introduced by fictional soccer coach Ted Lasso. His quieter set contrasted sharply with the show’s larger dance productions before the spotlight turned to Shakira and Burna Boy.
Closing the halftime show, the pair performed the official World Cup anthem “Dai Dai,” joined by Uganda’s Ghetto Kids dance troupe. Their energetic choreography and stadium-wide celebration brought the production to an explosive finish before players returned to the pitch for the second half.
