Calum Hood, who made a name for himself as the bassist for Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, has gone solo — and straight to the top. His debut album, ORDER Chaos ORDER, lands at No. 1 this week on the ARIA Albums Chart. This marks a significant milestone for the artist, who steps into the spotlight after years of success with 5SOS and does so with a more introspective project. With the band, he has already claimed six ARIA Awards and sent all five of their studio albums to No. 1, including 5 Seconds of Summer (2014), Sounds Good Feels Good (2015), Youngblood (2018), Calm (2020), and 5SOS5 (2022).

Right behind Calum is Mount Druitt’s hip-hop powerhouse, ONEFOUR, whose first full-length album Look At Me Now debuts at No. 2. The four-member group broke through in 2020 with their Against All Odds EP, which reached No. 7. Meanwhile, rock veterans King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard enter the chart at No. 5 with their latest project, Phantom Island, marking their 19th top 10 album.

Over on the ARIA Singles Chart, Alex Warren’s viral hit “Ordinary” continues its reign, holding the No. 1 spot for a 13th consecutive week. This ties the record for the fifth-longest-running No. 1 single in Australian chart history — alongside classics like “Hey Jude” by The Beatles and “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber.
