After over a decade as the bassist and vocalist of 5 Seconds of Summer, Calum Hood is officially stepping into the solo spotlight. His debut album, titled Order Chaos Order, is set for release tonight, June 13, via Capitol Records.
Hood’s solo journey follows the individual releases of his fellow bandmates—Ashton Irwin, Luke Hemmings, and Michael Clifford—and marks a deeply personal creative shift. About the Album
Unlike the upbeat pop-rock energy that defined 5SOS, Order Chaos Order explores a moodier, more introspective sound. Calum describes the album as a reflection of his internal balance—“a push and pull between calm and disorder”—touching on themes of family, memory, and emotional growth.
The lead single, “Don’t Forget You Love Me,” released on April 11, introduced this new direction. With haunting melodies and raw lyrics, the song set the emotional tone for the record. It was co-written and co-produced with the British team TMS and Jack LaFrantz, while the atmospheric music video—directed by Andy DeLuca—features Calum walking through rain-soaked streets, visually capturing the album’s emotional depth.
