Cardi B has officially made streaming history. Her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, has crossed the 5-billion-stream mark on Spotify, making it the first — and still the only — female rap album to achieve this milestone. Released in 2018, the record has stood the test of time, with tracks like “I Like It” continuing to go viral on social media.
Upon release, Invasion of Privacy debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, won the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, and redefined the commercial potential for women in hip-hop. Packed with hits like “Bodak Yellow,” “I Like It,” and “Be Careful,” it remains one of the most defining projects of both the 2010s and the 21st century.

The historic streaming feat comes during a major career moment for Cardi. On August 2, she made her WWE debut as the official host of SummerSlam 2025 at MetLife Stadium. Dressed in sleek all-black, she surprised the roaring crowd by teasing a brand-new track from her upcoming album, Am I the Drama?. Adding to the spectacle, her single “Outside” was named the official theme song for the two-night SummerSlam event.
The momentum doesn’t stop there — Cardi has confirmed that Am I the Drama? will arrive on September 19, featuring 23 tracks, marking her first full-length LP since the record-breaking Invasion of Privacy. With her debut still shattering records seven years later, the follow-up carries sky-high expectations.
