Chris Brown isn’t slowing down the BROWN era anytime soon. Just six weeks after releasing his twelfth studio album, the R&B star returned on June 19 with BROWN: The Chocolate Edition, a deluxe expansion that adds 10 new songs and pushes the project even deeper into the melodic, genre-blending territory that defined the original release.
Arriving via RCA Records and CBE, the deluxe edition follows weeks of speculation after Brown teased the additional tracks on Instagram.
The original album debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 in May, becoming Brown’s 13th consecutive top-10 album in the United States. Built around the acronym Break Rules Only When Necessary, the project featured appearances from Bryson Tiller, Fridayy, Leon Thomas, Lucky Daye, GloRilla, Vybz Kartel, YoungBoy Never Broke Again and others.
This latest installment keeps the focus on R&B, but introduces fresh collaborations with Wizkid, Tyga and Ty Dolla $ign.
