Charli XCX has responded to criticism from fans over the limited number of UK and European dates announced for her 2027 Music, Fashion, Film Tour. Addressing the reaction directly in an Instagram comment, the singer explained that touring is “really emotionally and physically hard” for her and that she cannot commit to the lengthy schedules some fans expect.
Charli announced the European leg earlier Friday, revealing six dates across the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and France in February 2027. Audrey Hobert will join her as a special guest, with the run beginning in Dublin on February 13 before moving to Glasgow, Manchester, London, Amsterdam and Paris.

The announcement immediately prompted criticism from some fans who wanted a longer European run. Charli responded by explaining that the decision was not based on a lack of appreciation for her audience, but on the physical and emotional demands of touring.
“Touring is really emotionally and physically hard for me,” she wrote. “I am not looking for sympathy and i have a huge amount of respect for artists who can handle it at an intense, lengthy and high octane level, but i am just not one of those human beings and i never have been.”
She also connected the shorter European schedule to her current North American run, which consists of 12 arena dates rather than an extended tour. Charli apologized to fans who felt disappointed while making clear that she needs to approach touring on terms that allow her to maintain a healthier mindset.
“I’m sorry if you feel i am letting you down, i really am,” she continued. “Perhaps one day i will be built for the kind of touring you expect from me but right now i am not.”
The comments arrive as Charli begins the North American leg of the Music, Fashion, Film Tour on September 11 in Philadelphia. The arena run includes two shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, dates in Toronto, Boston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, San Diego and Glendale, as well as two nights at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum before concluding in Las Vegas on October 23.
Underscores is supporting the North American dates, while the European shows will feature Hobert. Fans can sign up for presale access through September 15, with tickets scheduled to enter presale September 16 and 17.
The tour supports Charli’s eighth studio album, Music, Fashion, Film, released July 24. The 11-track record followed the massive cultural impact of 2024’s Brat but deliberately moved in another direction, favoring guitar-driven production, conversational vocals and more introspective writing about creativity, fame, friendship and self-doubt.
