The Austin City Limits Music Festival has announced a major lineup change for its 2025 edition. Doja Cat, one of this year’s most anticipated headliners, has officially pulled out of her scheduled performances, citing the demands of finishing her upcoming fifth album, Vie. In her place, festival organizers have confirmed that The Killers will headline both weekends.
Doja shared the news directly with fans through a heartfelt Instagram statement. “Unfortunately, I will not be performing at Austin City Limits this year,” she wrote. “When I made the commitment I didn’t know exactly when Vie would be released. I’ve been working on finalizing the album, making videos, taking the time to put together an album campaign that I am really excited about, and it’s become clear to me that I cannot give you all the show you deserve within this time frame.” She closed by thanking ACL for their support and expressing hope to return when “the time is right.”

ACL 2025 runs across two weekends, October 3–5 and October 10–12, at Austin’s Zilker Park. The annual festival is known for its wide-ranging lineup, and this year’s edition continues that tradition. Sabrina Carpenter and Doechii remain confirmed as fellow headliners, alongside major acts such as Hozier, Luke Combs, The Strokes, and John Summit. The lineup also features Feid, Cage the Elephant, Empire of the Sun, T-Pain, Djo (the music project of Stranger Things star Joe Keery), Maren Morris, Marina, Wet Leg, Olivia Dean, and Japanese Breakfast.
For Doja, the cancellation underscores her focus on Vie, which is shaping up to be one of 2025’s most significant releases. The record, set for release on September 26 via Kemosabe and RCA Records, will be her longest album yet, featuring 15 tracks recorded over three years in Correns, France. Its lead single, “Jealous Type,” debuted live at Outside Lands 2025 before officially dropping in August. Following the album’s release, she will launch her Tour Ma Vie world tour in November, beginning in New Zealand before continuing across Australia and Asia.
