Doja Cat is back with a bold new sound. The Grammy-winning artist has released her fifth studio album, Vie, available now (September 26, 2025) through Kemosabe and RCA Records. Spanning nearly 50 minutes and recorded over three years at Miraval Studios in Correns, France, the project marks a deliberate shift toward polished, ’80s-inspired pop while exploring themes of love, romance, and desire.
Vie arrives two years after 2023’s Scarlet, the rap-heavy record that delivered Doja her first solo No. 1 with “Paint the Town Red.” If Scarlet was defined by grit and rawness, Vie serves as its counterpart—bright, melodic, and firmly rooted in pop. In recent interviews, Doja explained that this album reflects the sound she has been “perfecting since the beginning,” blending playful hooks with her sharp rap delivery.

The rollout began with the lead single “Jealous Type”, released August 21. The track debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and set a record as the biggest Spotify debut of 2025 for a female rapper. She later teased “Gorgeous” during a CBS Sunday Morning appearance, confirming the synth-driven, funk-pop energy at the heart of the album. The 15-track record includes a collaboration with SZA on the sultry “Take Me Dancing.”
To support the release, Doja will launch the Ma Vie World Tour on November 18 in Auckland, New Zealand. The trek runs through December 21 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
With Vie, Doja Cat reclaims her pop crown, balancing retro inspiration with her unmistakable versatility. The album is streaming now on all major platforms.
