Ed Sheeran’s upcoming concerts at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, have been canceled due to severe weather expected across New England. As reported by TMZ, the two scheduled shows, set for Friday and Saturday, were called off after stadium and tour officials monitored the forecast and determined that proceeding would pose safety concerns.
The cancellation affects Ed Sheeran’s performances at the home of the New England Patriots, owned by Robert Kraft, during what was expected to be a major weekend on The Loop Tour. According to a statement from a representative for Kraft, stadium management, tour officials and public safety authorities had been tracking the conditions throughout the week before making the decision.

A major nor’easter is expected to bring severe weather to the region over the weekend, creating difficult conditions around the stadium and for the tens of thousands of fans expected to attend. The decision was ultimately made with the safety of concertgoers, employees, touring personnel and everyone working on the shows as the primary consideration.
Fans who purchased tickets are eligible for refunds at their original point of purchase. Ticketmaster customers will have their refunds processed automatically, removing the need for affected ticket holders to submit a separate request.
The canceled concerts arrive during a particularly eventful period for Ed Sheeran’s current tour. His recent Philadelphia performance at Lincoln Financial Field drew significant attention after he addressed the controversy surrounding Macklemore’s departure from the remaining U.S. dates of The Loop Tour. Opening acts subsequently withdrew from the shows.
The Gillette Stadium cancellations, however, are unrelated to that dispute and were announced specifically because of the expected weather conditions. Stadium and tour officials emphasized that the decision followed discussions with public safety authorities and was made ahead of the weekend rather than waiting for conditions to deteriorate.
