Hilary Duff is officially back — and fans are making it clear that her return was worth the wait. The actress and pop icon’s comeback single “Mature” has been crowned the Best New Release of the Week, earning 57% of fan votes in our weekly poll, which also featured Rosalía’s LUX (12%), Katy Perry’s “Bandaids” (9%), and Young Miko’s Do Not Disturb (22%).
Released on November 6, “Mature” marks Duff’s first original single in a decade, following 2015’s Breathe In. Breathe Out. Co-written with her husband Matthew Koma and songwriter Madison Love, the song sees Duff reflecting on youth, vulnerability, and the lessons that come with age. With its shimmering ’80s-inspired production and self-aware storytelling, “Mature” immediately captured fans’ attention, propelling it into the Top 2 on U.S. iTunes.
