The Path to Beloved
Beloved arrives three years after Giveon’s debut LP Give or Take (2022), and he’s spent much of that time carefully crafting this new project. In a March interview with Billboard, he shared that he had been recording the album for over 1,000 days, explaining, “I have a responsibility with this music because I see how it touches and helps people.”
Tracklist and Singles
Giveon introduced Beloved with two singles. “Twenties,” released on February 7, explores identity and heartbreak in early adulthood. “Rather Be,” released on May 16, is a vulnerable, stripped-back ballad that Giveon says is “about loving someone not for who they could be, but for who they are—and realizing that real connection isn’t about starting over, it’s about holding on.”
