Gracie Abrams brought a cinematic Halloween tribute to Romeo + Juliet to Saturday Night Live on October 31, delivering two performances that connected her latest album, Daughter from Hell, with its upcoming deluxe edition. Returning as the show’s musical guest for the second time, the singer performed “Hit the Wall” and made the live debut of “Here You Come, There You Go.”

Hosted by first-time host Inde Navarrette, the Halloween episode marked Abrams’ second appearance on the NBC sketch-comedy series. She previously made her SNL debut in December 2024, performing “That’s So True” and “I Love You, I’m Sorry” from her second album, The Secret of Us.

For her first performance, Gracie Abrams chose “Hit the Wall,” the opening track and lead single from Daughter from Hell. The singer embraced the visual world of Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 film Romeo + Juliet, channeling Claire Danes’ angelic look from the movie. Beginning the performance behind an aquarium, she recreated the atmosphere of the film’s iconic fish-tank meeting scene before stepping into an arrangement defined by synth-pop production, dramatic lighting and atmospheric effects.

Gracie Abrams returned later in the episode with a very different look for “Here You Come, There You Go,” delivering the song’s first live performance. The track is one of five new songs featured on Daughter from Hell (Deluxe), scheduled to arrive November 20. Her second costume referenced Leonardo DiCaprio’s Romeo, combining a tropical Hawaiian-style shirt with the metallic sleeves from his knight-inspired armor.

The live debut also gave fans an early taste of the expanded album, which will bring the original 16-track release to 21 songs. Alongside “Here You Come, There You Go,” the deluxe edition will feature “Lost In It,” “Crazy Girl,” “Love Letter” and “Out of Nowhere.”

The appearance arrives during a significant commercial period for Gracie Abrams. Produced with longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner, Daughter from Hell became her first Billboard 200 chart-topper, surpassing the previous peaks of her earlier albums. She is now preparing to bring the record on the road with The Look at My Life Tour, a 64-date run beginning December 2 in Denver before continuing across North America and Europe in 2027.
