Halsey is celebrating a full-circle moment in her career with the release of “Hand That Feeds”, a powerful new collaboration with Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Halsey reflected on the impact Amy Lee has had on her life and career: “I’ve been a fan of Amy Lee since I was 11 years old. Her and Evanescence created a window for me that allowed my feelings to seem important. They were the place I ran to when I couldn’t stand the outside world. I wouldn’t be the artist I am today without them. Getting to create alongside her on ‘HAND THAT FEEDS’ is one of the most surreal moments of my life. I’ll carry this forever!”

“Hand That Feeds” merges Halsey’s raw lyrical style with Amy Lee’s haunting vocals. The song has immediately resonated with fans, entering the top 50 on US iTunes.  Amy Lee also expressed her excitement about the collaboration, writing: “We’ve been fans of each other’s work for a long time and it really feels like the universe pulled us together for this moment.”

Halsey’s admiration for Amy Lee goes beyond just this recent track. Her song “Lonely Is the Muse”, from her 2024 album The Great Impersonator, is a tribute to Lee and her band Evanescence. Furthermore, as part of the album’s promotion, Halsey paid homage by recreating Amy Lee’s iconic look from the Fallen album cover, showing how much Lee’s influence continues to shape her creative journey.
