Filmed at Los Angeles’ historic Wiltern Theatre, the new concert special arrives just one month after Gaga closed the record-breaking Mayhem Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden on April 13. Unlike the massive stadium-scale production that grossed $419.5 million across 93 shows, MAYHEM: Requiem strips the spectacle down into something more cinematic, gothic, and emotionally focused.

What Is MAYHEM: Requiem About?
Gaga previously described the film as a “musical reimagining” tied directly to the MAYHEM universe. Early trailer footage leaned heavily into gothic imagery, religious symbolism, live orchestration, and theatrical staging, aesthetics that defined much of the MAYHEM rollout throughout 2025 and 2026.
Rather than recreating the full arena tour, the Wiltern performance appears intentionally smaller and more dramatic. The project also functions as a closing statement for one of Gaga’s most commercially dominant eras. Released in 2025, MAYHEM debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and later won Best Pop Vocal Album at the 68th Grammy Awards while earning an Album of the Year nomination.
