Harry Styles has landed another major chart milestone as “American Girls” debuts at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track arrives alongside a second surge for “Aperture,” which jumps from No. 29 to No. 9 in the same week.
Both songs appear on Styles’ new album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., which simultaneously launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The project opened with 430,000 equivalent album units in the United States, giving the singer the biggest album debut of 2026 so far.
“American Girls” carries additional historical weight. The debut marks Styles’ ninth career top 10 on the Hot 100 as a solo artist, surpassing the six top-10 hits he scored with One Direction between 2012 and 2015 before the group’s hiatus in 2016.
Meanwhile, the summit of the chart belongs to another artist. Ella Langley holds the No. 1 position for a third week with “Choosin’ Texas,” continuing a run that first began in February. The country crossover hit now ties a notable record among female artists.
Three weeks at No. 1 places Langley alongside Taylor Swift, whose “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” spent three weeks atop the Hot 100 in 2012 while also leading the country charts. The achievement positions both songs above two-week chart leaders by artists such as Beyoncé and Dolly Parton.
