Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” returns to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, extending its historic reign to 25 weeks at the summit. Meanwhile, Tate McRae scores the highest-charting solo hit of her career as “Housewife” debuts at No. 2, while Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan surge into the top three with “Expectations.”
Ella Langley’s country hit rises one position to reclaim the throne after spending three consecutive weeks behind Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero.” Its latest return pushes the song further ahead of the previous record for the longest-running Hot 100 No. 1 among all songs, held by Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which accumulated 22 weeks at the top between 2019 and 2026.

Tate McRae arrives at No. 2 with “Housewife,” earning her fourth top 10 on the Hot 100 and her highest position as a lead artist. The Canadian pop star previously reached No. 3 with “greedy” in January 2024 and “Tit for Tat” in October 2025. She also topped the chart as a featured artist on Morgan Wallen’s “What I Want,” which debuted at No. 1 in May 2025.
The new entry follows a remarkable opening week for “Housewife.” Released October 15 as the lead single from Tate McRae’s forthcoming fourth studio album, the track debuted at No. 1 on Spotify’s Daily Global Chart with 5.671 million streams. It subsequently topped the platform’s Weekly Global Chart for October 16–22, collecting 39.1 million streams and ending Karol G’s run at No. 1 with “BbY WOW.” The weekly total surpassed the 33.8 million streams “greedy” earned during the week ending January 4, 2024, although that earlier hit remains McRae’s personal record for a single streaming week, with 40.2 million plays in November 2023.
Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan also make a major move as “Expectations” climbs from No. 63 to No. 3. The song was originally released by Rodrigo in June on you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, before a remix featuring Roan and an accompanying video arrived October 15. The surge gives Rodrigo her 11th Hot 100 top 10 after the original version previously debuted at No. 20.
Rounding out the top five, Zach Bryan’s “Lies,” featuring Lana Del Rey, debuts at No. 4.
