Harry Styles has opened 2026 with a commanding return. His new single “Aperture” has debuted at No. 1 on the Daily Global Spotify Chart, pulling in 12.478 million streams in its first full day of release. The figure marks the biggest streaming debut of the year so far and places Styles well ahead of other recent high-profile releases.
The opening-day performance comfortably surpasses Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might,” which launched with 4.974 million streams, and A$AP Rocky’s “Stole Ya Flow” at 3.04 million. While the number does not exceed Styles’ personal record — “As It Was” reached 16.1 million streams in 2022 — it still ranks among the strongest debuts of his career. “As It Was” remains the 26th most-streamed song in a single day in Spotify history, a benchmark few artists have reached.
Beyond its Spotify impact, “Aperture” also debuted at No. 1 on the Apple Music chart, delivering the platform’s biggest opening day of 2026. The track simultaneously topped the global iTunes chart.
The release has triggered a notable resurgence across Styles’ catalog. On the January 23 Daily Global Spotify Chart, several of his past hits re-entered or climbed the rankings, including “As It Was,” “Sign of the Times,” “Adore You,” and “Watermelon Sugar.”
The record arrives amid a carefully timed rollout for Styles’ upcoming fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally., due March 6, 2026, via Erskine Records and Columbia Records. The album is executive produced by longtime collaborator Kid Harpoon and marks Styles’ first full-length release since Harry’s House, which earned Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards. On Friday (Jan. 23), Styles revealed the full tracklist, heightening anticipation just ahead of the “Aperture” music video drop.
Styles’ return also extends to the stage. His recently announced Together, Together Tour includes more than 40 dates worldwide, highlighted by an ambitious 30-show run at Madison Square Garden in New York.
