Olivia Dean is set to make her first appearance as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live tonight, marking a milestone moment in what has already become a breakout year for the rising British star. Her performance arrives as momentum around her sophomore album The Art of Loving continues to climb, following its top 10 debut on the Billboard 200 and the explosive success of her single “Man I Need,” now sitting in the top five on the Hot 100. At 26, Dean has quickly emerged as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary pop and soul, becoming the first British solo female artist since Adele to hold the No. 1 spot on both the UK albums and singles charts at the same time.
Dean’s SNL set is expected to showcase highlights from The Art of Loving, including the viral favorite “Man I Need” and the fan-driven “So Easy (To Fall In Love),” which has been steadily climbing on streaming platforms. Her appearance also comes just days after earning her first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
The episode will be hosted by actor Glen Powell, who makes his official hosting debut after a brief cameo during Sydney Sweeney’s episode last season.
