Taylor Swift may have already been ruled out of Toy Story 5’s soundtrack, but that hasn’t stopped Swifties from dissecting every new clue. On May 29, fresh speculation erupted after a Toy Story-themed billboard featuring giant yellow “TS” initials and exactly 13 clouds was spotted, instantly reigniting fan theories that the pop superstar is somehow tied to Pixar’s upcoming sequel.
The billboard’s design was impossible for fans to ignore. Styled with the franchise’s signature blue-sky-and-cloud backdrop, the display prominently featured the letters “TS” — shorthand long associated with Taylor Swift — alongside 13 clouds, a number deeply woven into Swift’s iconography for nearly two decades. Within hours, social media lit up with theories that the ad was a calculated Easter egg teasing a surprise collaboration, despite Pixar producers earlier this week publicly shutting down claims that Swift would contribute to the film’s end credits.
Speaking about the rumor, producers admitted they were surprised by how quickly the theory spread. “We did see it, it surprised us,” they said, before clarifying that when they viewed the final mix of the movie last week, “the song on the end of that was not Taylor’s song.”
That statement appeared to close the case. Yet for Swift’s fanbase, history suggests otherwise. Speculation first took off on April 30, when Swift briefly activated — then swiftly removed — a countdown clock on her official website. The visual featured a blue sky filled with white clouds, prompting immediate comparisons to Andy’s bedroom wallpaper from the original Toy Story films.
