When asked about “Twin,” Jennie admitted that the song holds a special place in her heart. “That song is very special to me—it may be the most personal song… Being truthful in that song gave me a clear understanding of how I felt about that relationship,” she shared. “I’m writing my letter to you.”

Jennie’s upcoming album Ruby marks a significant chapter in her career, proving that she can shine as a solo artist just as she has with BLACKPINK. In the interview, she reflected on how her past experiences—including moving to New Zealand at a young age and balancing her public and private identities—have shaped her artistry. She emphasized that Ruby represents a new beginning, allowing her to fully embrace her emotions and express them through her music.

Beyond “Twin,” Ruby features 15 songs, including the previously released singles “Mantra,” “Love Hangover,” and the most recent, “ExtraL.” The album also boasts guest appearances from industry heavyweights like Dua Lipa and Childish Gambino.
