Jennifer Lopez is speaking out following a deadly shooting at a gay bar in Tucson, Arizona, that left two members of the LGBTQIA+ community dead. The pop icon shared a message of grief and solidarity on X after authorities said the August 31 attack is being investigated as a hate crime.
“Heartbroken over yet another senseless act of violence against our LGBTQIA+ community. Sending love and strength to everyone in Tucson, and to the loved ones of those we lost. You are seen, you are loved,” JLO wrote.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. Monday in the parking lot outside Venture-N, a longtime LGBTQ-friendly bar in midtown Tucson. Police identified the victims as Vincent Anthony Siqueiros, 42, and Cameron Davis Capara, 33, who were both shot and died at the scene.
Authorities identified 44-year-old Ousman Ceesay as the suspected gunman. Ceesay was also wounded during the incident and died shortly after arriving at a hospital; investigators later determined that his wound was self-inflicted.
