KATSEYE’s Lara Raj has spoken out against toxic behavior within online fan spaces, addressing misinformation, personal insults, and body shaming directed at herself and others. The vocalist shared a series of firm yet heartfelt messages on Weverse, drawing a clear line between healthy fandom engagement and harmful conduct.
In her posts, Lara made it clear that she will not tolerate hate on her personal platforms. She called out users who spread false information or attack people she cares about, emphasizing that such comments will be deleted and blocked. While expressing gratitude for the majority of supportive fans, she noted a recent surge in negativity that she described as “comical” and “embarrassing,” urging those involved to reflect on their behavior.
“hi friends. i need to say that it is comical to me how some of you think you can get away with insulting / spreading harmful misinformation about people i love and care for on MY page fa if you do that it will be deleted/blocked bc i do not tolerate hate on my platforms,” she wrote. “I really do love you all deeply but do not cross that boundary with me or any of the girls. You should feel embarrassed for how just simply mean some of you have been recently. I know its not all of you but ive seen a ridiculous amount of nastiness.”
Lara also addressed the broader impact of toxic discourse on the group’s community. She stressed that disrespect and hostility go against what it means to be an “Eyekon,” KATSEYE’s fandom name. Encouraging fans to refocus on positivity, she asked supporters to enter the new year with “joy and light,” highlighting that the group has many exciting plans ahead.
One of the most powerful moments in her statement came when she confronted body shaming she experienced during the Beautiful Chaos tour. Lara revealed that she had seen “disgusting” commentary about her body, calling out the fear and judgment often projected onto healthy female bodies.
