Manon, a member of the global girl group KATSEYE, has unveiled a new creative project that steps beyond the boundaries of music. On Tuesday (Jan. 27), the 23-year-old singer released a short film titled “NOT BAD,” a two-minute visual piece she co-created with close friends Violet and Sophie. The film is now available to watch on her personal Instagram account, @meretmanon.
Described by Manon as a passion project made “with a lot of heart,” “NOT BAD” unfolds as a quiet, introspective narrative. Set largely within a mid-century modern home, the short film leans into stillness, emotional restraint, and everyday intimacy. Rather than following a linear storyline, the film prioritizes mood and texture, allowing images and silence to carry the emotional weight.
“NOT BAD” has already drawn attention from both fans and peers. Fellow KATSEYE members quickly shared their support, with Lara calling it “beautiful,” Megan writing “love,” and Sophia responding simply with “wow.” The film also caught the eye of Chloe Bailey, who praised both the project and Manon’s on-screen presence.
