KATSEYE has reached another major streaming milestone. The global girl group’s new EP, WILD, debuted with approximately 10.75 million first-day streams on Global Spotify, making it the strongest project launch of their career on the platform.
Released on August 14, WILD placed all five of its tracks on the Daily Global Spotify chart, fueled by the continued dominance of hit single “Animal” and a powerful opening for the newly released “Hootie Frutti.” The achievement surpasses the group’s previous best, Beautiful Chaos, which opened with 8.29 million unfiltered Spotify streams during its first full day in June 2025.
Leading the charge was “Animal,” which climbed back to its peak position at No. 5 on the Daily Global Spotify chart after collecting 3.379 million streams. The track has become one of KATSEYE’s defining global hits, continuing the momentum it built after debuting earlier this summer.
Meanwhile, “Hootie Frutti” entered the chart at No. 12 with 2.97 million streams, instantly becoming the group’s third-highest-charting song on Daily Global Spotify behind “Animal” (No. 5) and “Gabriela” (No. 7). Elsewhere, “Pinky Up” returned to the chart at No. 84 with 1.59 million streams, while “Bel Air” debuted at No. 116 with 1.44 million, followed by “That Way” at No. 140 with 1.35 million streams.
The impressive launch caps months of anticipation surrounding WILD. The EP was first teased following KATSEYE’s performances at Coachella 2026, where the members described the project as a significant artistic evolution from their earlier releases. Following April’s “Pinky Up” and July’s “Animal,” the group completed the rollout by unveiling “Hootie Frutti” alongside the full five-track collection on August 14.
Release day also brought another wave of exposure. KATSEYE performed on NBC’s Today as part of the Citi Concert Series at Rockefeller Plaza, delivering energetic performances of “Hootie Frutti,” “Pinky Up,” and “Gabriela.” During the appearance, Lara also reaffirmed the group’s support for members Sophia and Manon, who remain on hiatus, telling the crowd, “We stand by Sophia and Manon, through and through. And we ride for that.”
With WILD now delivering KATSEYE’s biggest Spotify project debut to date and several tracks gaining immediate global traction, attention now turns to whether the EP can continue building momentum as the group prepares to launch the Wildworld Tour on September 1 in Dublin.
