KATSEYE is opening a new chapter with a major streaming milestone. The global girl group’s new EP, WILD, generated approximately 64.95 million Spotify streams worldwide during its first tracking week, with the project’s songs maintaining strong daily numbers after a massive opening day.

Released August 14 through HYBE x Geffen Records, WILD accumulated exactly 64,951,189 streams during its debut week. The EP opened with more than 11.7 million streams on its first day, before settling into a consistent range of roughly 8.5 million to 9 million daily streams across the remainder of the week.

That performance gives WILD the biggest opening week on Spotify for a female group this year, narrowly surpassing BLACKPINK’s DEADLINE, which recorded approximately 63.2 million streams during its opening week.

Animal” emerged as the project’s dominant track. The song collected more than 20 million Spotify streams during the week, placing it at No. 10 among the platform’s most-streamed songs globally for the period.

Hootie Frutti” followed with approximately 17.8 million streams, giving the EP another track inside the upper tier of the weekly streaming rankings. Meanwhile, “Pinky Up” finished the week with 8.852 million streams.

The streaming numbers build on KATSEYE’s strong first-day showing. WILD generated approximately 11.75 million streams on Global Spotify on release day, surpassing the group’s previous career high of 8.29 million first-day streams for 2025’s Beautiful Chaos.

WILD also arrives with a significantly broader commercial footprint than KATSEYE’s previous release. The five-track EP features “Pinky Up” and “Animal,” alongside the new songs “Hootie Frutti,” “Bel Air” and “That Way.” A Target-exclusive edition additionally includes “Unloveu,” which was co-written and co-produced by member Lara Raj.

The group’s momentum has extended beyond streaming platforms. Just two days before WILD arrived, KATSEYE premiered its first theatrical documentary, KATSEYE: Wild Hearts, which opened in approximately 720 to 750 North American theaters and earned an estimated $3.95 million at the U.S. box office during its limited run.

Promotion continued with a performance on NBC’s Today through the Citi Concert Series, followed by an appearance at D23, where the group performed “I Won’t Say (I’m in Love)” from Hercules in honor of Disney Legend Susan Egan.
