Lady Gaga has thrilled fans by officially announcing the release date of her new single, the lead track from her upcoming seventh studio album. Recently, the pop star shared a schedule of her activities over the past few weeks, including the release of Joker: Folie à Deux. In that post, fans quickly noticed a clue hinting at new music, teasing that the lead single from LG7 would drop in October. Until now, Gaga had remained tight-lipped.

Through a pre-save link, Gaga revealed that the lead single from LG7 will be released this Friday, October 25. The 38-year-old singer also unveiled the song’s title: “Disease.” Additionally, several websites have been launched to tease some of the song’s lyrics: “I could play the doctor / I can cure your disease / If you were a sinner I could make you believe / Lay you down like 1 2 3 / Eyes roll back in ecstasy / I can smell your sickness / I can cure ya / Cure your disease.”
Fans are now counting down the hours until this highly anticipated release. “Disease” marks Gaga’s third musical offering of 2024. Earlier in the year, she teamed up with Bruno Mars on the global hit “Die With a Smile,” which has topped the Daily Global Spotify Chart for 57 days. Additionally, fans were treated to Harlequin, the companion album to Joker 2. Notably, “Disease” will be Gaga’s first solo single since Chromatica, excluding her collaborations or soundtrack contributions like “Hold My Hand.”
