Last night, the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards took place at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. For the second consecutive year, Lainey Wilson emerged as the night’s biggest winner, taking home three awards. Tied with her is Chris Stapleton, who also secured three awards, including Album of the Year for “Higher.” Notably, Morgan Wallen was the most nominated artist with six nods but failed to win any awards.
The show was hosted for the 17th time by ACM Award-winner and country icon Reba McEntire. Throughout the night, numerous country stars entertained the audience with their performances. Highlights include Nate Smith and Avril Lavigne‘s “Bulletproof” and a surprise appearance by Dua Lipa, who joined Chris Stapleton to sing “Think I’m In Love with You.” At the end of the ceremony, Reba announced that she will return as host next year to celebrate the 60th ceremony of the prestigious awards.
