Laufey is extending the life of her critically acclaimed third studio album with a newly announced deluxe edition. Titled A Matter of Time: The Final Hour, the expanded release is set to arrive on April 10.

The singer-songwriter shared the news directly with fans, writing, “We have made it to The Final Hour… A Matter of Time: The Final Hour is out April 10th… ‘How I Get’ drops at midnight tomorrow.” Pre-orders and pre-saves will open this Wednesday at 9 a.m. ET.

Originally released on August 22, 2025, A Matter of Time marked a subtle but significant shift in Laufey’s sound. While her early work leaned into jazz traditionalism, this album widened the frame. Vulnerability moved to the forefront. The project balanced orchestral warmth with modern indie sensibilities, thanks in part to collaborations with producer Spencer Stewart and Aaron Dessner of The National.

The response was immediate. Commercially, the album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming her first top-ten entry in the United Kingdom.

Awards recognition soon followed. At the 2026 Grammy Awards, A Matter of Time earned Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
