IVE have entered a new phase with REVIVE+, their second full-length album, and with it comes a body of work that feels deliberately expansive. Released via Starship Entertainment, the project builds on the group’s established confidence while widening its sonic scope.
REVIVE+ was designed with dual title tracks — “BLACKHOLE” and “BANG BANG” — signaling ambition from the outset. Yet beyond those headline moments lies a collection that balances high-impact EDM production with more intimate, member-focused statements.
“BANG BANG,” released ahead of the full project, emerges as a clear standout. Anchored in electronic dance textures, it thrives on a fast-paced, driving beat that leans confidently into club-ready rhythm. Its distinctive Western swing-infused intro gives way to a pulsing drop that feels both immediate and calculated. The melody is sharp, memorable, and unmistakably IVE.
The solo tracks complicate any simple ranking. Each member steps into her own lane while remaining within the album’s cohesive EDM framework. Jang Wonyoung’s “8” surges with high energy and crisp production, quickly positioning itself among the project’s highlights. In contrast, Liz offers a moment of restraint on “Unreal,” allowing her ethereal tone to breathe in a more reflective space.
