Lauren Bennett, the singer best known for her featured vocals on LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” and as a member of G.R.L., has died at the age of 37. The news was confirmed on July 6, 2026, through a heartfelt statement shared by her former G.R.L. bandmates, who paid tribute to the artist they described as a beloved friend.

Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton and Paula Van Oppen wrote: “It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren. Born Lauren Diane Bennett on June 24, 1989, in Meopham, England, Bennett first entered the spotlight in 2007 as part of Paradiso Girls, the Robin Antin-created pop group behind the dance hit “Patron Tequila.” Although the project was short-lived, it opened the door to collaborations that would define her career.

Her biggest commercial breakthrough arrived in 2011, when she provided the instantly recognizable vocals on LMFAO and GoonRock’s “Party Rock Anthem.” The song spent six weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, topped charts around the world and went on to earn Diamond certification in the United States, becoming one of the defining pop hits of the 2010s.

That same year, Bennett launched her solo career with “I Wish I Wish” before joining another Robin Antin project, G.R.L., alongside Simone Battle, Emmalyn Estrada and Natasha Slayton. The group gained international attention with songs including “Vacation,” “Wild Wild Love” with Pitbull and the multi-platinum single “Ugly Heart.”

Following the tragic death of Simone Battle in 2014, G.R.L. released the tribute single “Lighthouse” while supporting mental health awareness through its GRL Gives an Hour campaign. Although the group disbanded in 2015, Bennett continued making music through solo releases such as “Reality” and “Hurricane,” later reuniting with former members for additional projects.

An official cause of death has not been announced.
