MAMA Awards, formerly known as Mnet Asian Music Awards, is one of the most anticipated and celebrated music award shows in the Asian entertainment industry. Each year, MAMA brings together some of the biggest names in Asian music, from K-pop superstars to talented artists from various countries in the region.
The awards show is known for its spectacular performances, unique collaborations, and recognition of outstanding achievements in the music industry. The inaugural ceremony took place in 1999, hosted in Seoul. Among the most decorated artists, BTS stands at the pinnacle, boasting an astounding 49 awards, towering over Twice, the second-highest recipient, with 17 wins.
As we eagerly anticipate the 2023 MAMA Awards, the list of nominees has been unveiled. Leading the pack with seven nominations is BTS’ Jimin, closely trailed by IVE with five nominations, and Jungkook, Jisoo, Taeyang, BTS and V, each garnering four nods.
The 2023 MAMA Awards will take place on November 28 and 29, at the Tokyo Dome.
