Mariah Carey has named her 2008 hit “Touch My Body” as one of her favorite music videos, sharing the personal connection she feels to the song and its visuals. Speaking to Allure, the five-time Grammy winner praised the track, calling it “my 18th No. 1 record [in the US]” and expressing genuine affection for both the single and its playful video.
Released as the lead single from her album E=MC², “Touch My Body” features Carey in a lighthearted storyline alongside comedian Jack McBrayer.

In the same interview, Carey looked back on the video for her 1990 debut single “Vision of Love” — a track that would go on to become one of her signature songs and a defining moment in pop music history. While she acknowledged the song’s impact, Carey admitted she wasn’t happy with how the video turned out.
“I knew the lighting wasn’t right — there was no frontal key light. I didn’t understand what they were doing. It was completely orchestrated by the label since I was a new artist. I didn’t have a good outfit. It was just my natural hair at that time… It’s definitely not one of my favorite videos, but it represents a lot of me.”
