Meghan Trainor has canceled her upcoming The Get In Girl Tour just days before the release of her new album Toy with Me, set for April 24, 2026. The announcement arrives via Instagram Stories, where the singer shared a personal message explaining the decision.
In her full statement, Trainor wrote: “After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour. Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now, and I need to be home and present for each and all of them at this time. I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down. But I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now. I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record. I’m so proud of it, and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always.”
The tour, first announced in late 2025, was designed to support her seventh studio album Toy with Me, which arrives through Epic Records on April 24. That rollout included three singles: “Still Don’t Care,” “Get in Girl,” and “Shimmer.” Lead single “Still Don’t Care” addressed online criticism tied to her health journey, reframing it into a confident, tongue-in-cheek anthem.
Outside of music, Trainor has also been navigating renewed public scrutiny around her appearance. Reflecting on the discourse in a recent interview, she said, “Everyone is like, ‘Why are you thin now? Like you’re the ‘All About That Bass’ girl.’ I was 19 when I came out with the song, and I’ve been on a fitness journey since I got healthy.” She added that the shift began during her first pregnancy, when she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and realized she needed to invest in long-term health.
Development of the album stretched across eight months, with Trainor balancing studio sessions alongside family life. She described the project as her most personal and joyful work to date, building on the momentum of 2024’s Timeless, which debuted at No. 27 on the Billboard 200 and delivered her strongest vinyl sales week in four years. Plans for the now-canceled tour included a June 12 kickoff in Clarkston, Michigan, with dates across North America and support from Icona Pop and Ryan Trainor.
