MOBO Awards has unveiled a new wave of announcements for its milestone 30th anniversary ceremony, confirming special honourees and additional performances ahead of the event’s return later this month.
Pharrell Williams will receive the MOBO Global Songwriter Award, recognizing his decades-long impact on contemporary music. The honor highlights Williams’ extraordinary contributions as a producer, songwriter, and performer whose work has shaped modern pop, hip-hop, and R&B.
Hip-hop pioneer Slick Rick will also be celebrated during the ceremony, receiving the MOBO Lifetime Achievement Award. Widely regarded as one of rap’s greatest storytellers, the legendary MC helped shape the narrative style that remains central to hip-hop today.
To mark the occasion, Slick Rick will take the stage for a special collaborative performance with British singer-songwriter Estelle.
Organizers have also confirmed new additions to the performance lineup. Jamaican star Shenseea joins the expanding bill. She will perform alongside previously announced artists including Olivia Dean, FLO, Tiwa Savage, Aitch and Myles Smith.
Another highlight will be the special “MOBO Salutes: Grime 25” segment curated by DJ Target. The medley will celebrate 25 years of grime music with performances from influential figures including Wiley, Chip, Nolay, Scorcher and D Double E.
The 2026 MOBO Awards will take place on March 26 at Co-op Live in Manchester. The ceremony will be hosted by rapper and television personality Eve alongside comedian and broadcaster Eddie Kadi.
Fans around the world will be able to watch the 2026 ceremony through a livestream hosted by Amazon Music. The broadcast will air on the platform’s UK Twitch channel starting at 8:00 p.m. GMT on March 26.
