The result gives Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan a decisive win in the fan poll, adding another encouraging sign to the collaboration’s already impressive opening performance. The updated version of “expectations” debuted at No. 4 on the Daily Global Spotify Chart with 4.595 million streams. Its official music video also generated 6.4 million views during its first 24 hours on YouTube, marking the platform’s biggest debut for a female collaboration in 2026. The track additionally reached No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Songs Chart.
Originally appearing on Rodrigo’s third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, “expectations” receives a fresh treatment built around buoyant synthesizers, handclaps and an ’80s-inspired sound. Longtime Olivia Rodrigo collaborator Dan Nigro worked on the remix alongside Mike Wise, while Chappell Roan contributes a new verse recounting a disastrous romantic encounter.
Although Rodrigo and Roan dominated the poll, Tate McRae’s “Housewife” also made a strong impression following its October 15 release. The Ryan Tedder-assisted single opened at No. 1 on the Daily Global Spotify Chart with 5.671 million streams, surpassing the 4.13 million first-day plays of “Tit for Tat” to establish a new personal streaming record for McRae. Its music video, directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti and filmed in the south of France, collected 2.7 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Hearts2Hearts introduced “Next Chapter,” an upbeat English-language collaboration with Arena of Valor celebrating the multiplayer game’s 10th anniversary. The synth-pop track combines playful production with themes of friendship, teamwork and new beginnings, marking the SM Entertainment group’s first release entirely in English.
KATSEYE rounded out the poll with “Unloveu,” released on October 13. Its black-and-white music video features Lara, Daniela, Megan and Yoonchae, while two empty chairs have prompted speculation about the absences of Manon and Sophia. The melancholic visual offers a more intimate direction than the group’s high-energy WILD era, giving fans plenty to discuss beyond the song itself.
