Laufey is set to headline Season 14 of Fortnite Festival, marking another high-profile crossover between music and gaming. The new season launches on April 16, bringing her jazz-influenced sound into one of the industry’s most visible virtual stages.

Announced by Epic Games, the update introduces a slate of new features tied directly to Laufey’s performance style. Players can now use Mic Vocals, allowing real-time singing through compatible microphones on PC and console. Pro Drums functionality has also been expanded, enabling Rock Band 4 and MIDI drum kit integration for a more immersive experience.

The Season 14 Emberlight Music Pass includes immediate access to the White Dress Laufey Outfit for Fortnite Crew subscribers. Progression unlocks themed instruments, visual Auras, and the “Madwoman” Jam Track, with the Golden Era Laufey Outfit positioned as the final-tier reward. Additional cosmetics will roll out in the in-game shop, including the Lover Girl outfit, themed emotes, and tracks like “Tough Luck.”

Timing aligns with festival season globally, reinforcing Fortnite Festival’s evolution into a hybrid performance platform. Recent seasons have featured artists such as Bruno Mars, Snoop Dogg, Sabrina Carpenter, LISA and Chappell Roan.

For Laufey, the collaboration comes hot on the heels of the release of the deluxe edition of her new album, A Matter of Time. Titled A Matter of Time: The Final Hour, the expanded version was released last Friday (April 10) and includes the new single “Madwoman.” The original A Matter of Time was released in the summer of 2025 and was an immediate success with critics and audiences. It debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and won the Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
