Phoebe Bridgers has reached a major career milestone, earning her first-ever solo Official UK Albums Chart No. 1 with Lost Weekend. The singer-songwriter’s third studio album debuts atop this week’s chart, while KATSEYE also celebrates a breakthrough week with a career-best finish.
The achievement marks Bridgers’ first solo chart-topper in the United Kingdom following Punisher, which peaked at No. 6 in 2022. She previously reached the summit alongside Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus as part of boygenius, whose acclaimed debut the record debuted at No. 1 in 2023.
Released through Dead Oceans, Lost Weekend delivers another milestone by becoming the independent Indiana label’s first-ever UK No. 1 album. The project also tops this week’s Official Vinyl Albums Chart and Official Record Store Chart.
The album’s chart-topping debut continues an exceptional week for Bridgers. Earlier today, Lost Weekend also opened at No. 1 in Australia on the ARIA Albums Chart, giving the project consecutive chart victories in two of the world’s biggest music markets.
Behind Bridgers, KATSEYE secures a career-best result as their third EP WILD debuts at No. 2, dramatically improving on the No. 55 peak achieved by BEAUTIFUL CHAOS in 2025. The milestone arrives ahead of the group’s THE WILDWORLD TOUR, which includes UK dates next month as demand for the global girl group continues to grow.
The success extends to the Official Singles Chart, where “Hootie Frutti” enters at No. 16 as the week’s highest new entry. The single becomes KATSEYE’s fifth UK Top 40 hit of 2026, making them the first girl group since Little Mix in 2021 to achieve five Top 40 singles within a single calendar year.
That streak began with “Internet Girl,” followed by “PINKY UP,” “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” with LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT, before “Animal” and “Hootie Frutti” joined the list this summer. Meanwhile, “Animal” climbs four places to a new peak of No. 12, becoming the highest-charting UK single of KATSEYE’s career.
Elsewhere on the albums chart, The Script lands its ninth UK Top 10 album as The User’s Guide To Being Human debuts at No. 3, while Jungle extends its flawless run of Top 10 studio albums with Sunshine arriving at No. 4.
On the singles side, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean continue rewriting chart history. Their collaboration “Rein Me In” remains at No. 1 for a record-extending 22 non-consecutive weeks, further increasing the all-time benchmark it established earlier this month.
