Post Malone is hitting pause on The Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2 before it even begins. Just days after headlining Stagecoach 2026, the superstar announced that the first three weeks of his North American run are off, pushing the tour’s official launch from May 13 to June 12 in Indianapolis as he prioritizes finishing what he calls a “badass” double album.

In an Instagram statement, Post framed the delay less as a setback and more as a creative recalibration. “Truth is, I promised y’all beautiful people new music, and I don’t have the time to finish it before tour starts,” he wrote. “We ain’t ready for tour just yet, so I’m making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done.” He also apologized directly to affected fans, adding, “I was looking forward to going nuts with y’all.”

The postponement cancels the opening stretch of dates originally scheduled to begin May 13 in El Paso, Texas. Post is choosing studio completion over premature rollout. That decision suggests the follow-up to F-1 Trillion may be closer — and potentially larger — than initially expected. In April, he teased a 40-song album split into Disc 1 and Disc 2, seemingly titled The Eternal Buzz.

His timing is notable. On April 26, Post Malone closed Stagecoach with one of the festival’s most appreciated sets, leaning fully into his country crossover era while blending Craig Morgan, “Pour Me a Drink,” “Wrong Ones,” and guest appearances from Shaboozey, Braxton Keith, and Jake Worthington.

Now, however, his focus appears locked on recorded output. “We been making some badass sh-t for this double album,” he teased, while also reassuring longtime fans that Stoney remains part of his artistic DNA: “To a lot of little stinkers that think I’ve forgotten about ole Stoney, I haven’t.”

The tour, featuring Jelly Roll and Carter Faith, was originally mapped as a massive May-through-July stadium sweep across the U.S. and Canada, ending July 28 in Salt Lake City. With Indianapolis now serving as the revised opening night on June 12.
