The 2025 Roots Picnic returns to Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park this weekend, May 31 and June 1, promising a dynamic mix of music, culture, and cuisine. Saturday, May 31, will see Maxwell headlining, stepping in for D’Angelo, who withdrew due to health reasons. The day also includes performances by GloRilla, Latto, Miguel, Jeezy (celebrating the 20th anniversary of Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101), Crystal Waters, and the Siangie Twins.
On Sunday, June 1, Lenny Kravitz and Meek Mill will headline, with The Roots performing their 1995 album Do You Want More?!!!??! in honor of its 30th anniversary. Other acts include, Tems, Kaytranada, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Musiq Soulchild (celebrating the 25th anniversary of Aijuswanaseing), and Elmiene.

The festival takes place at The Mann Center for the Performing Arts, located at 5201 Parkside Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19131. Gates open at 1:00 PM on both days, with performances scheduled across multiple stages, including the Fairmount Park Stage and the Mann Stage (TD Pavilion).
