Taylor Swift continues her reign as the undisputed queen of streaming. Her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, has surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify in just one month. With this milestone, Swift becomes the first artist in Spotify history to have 15 albums each surpass 2 billion streams. Her self-titled debut remains the only album in her catalog yet to reach the mark.

Even more impressively, Swift holds four albums with over 10 billion streams: Reputation, Folklore, Midnights, and Lover. The latter currently stands as her most-streamed record, amassing more than 13.6 billion plays.

The success of The Life of a Showgirl is not only a streaming triumph but also a historic chart feat. The album continues to dominate the Billboard 200 for a fourth consecutive week, while its lead single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” remains at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This marks an unprecedented moment in chart history — Swift is the first artist ever to debut at No. 1 on both charts simultaneously and remain there for four consecutive weeks.

Upon release, The Life of a Showgirl opened with 4.002 million units — the largest first-week total for any album in history. Meanwhile, “The Fate of Ophelia” shows no signs of slowing down. The song has spent its 32nd day atop the Daily Global Spotify Chart and has tallied more than 380 million streams to date.

This new record adds to a series of milestones logged by The Life of a Showgirl. Upon its release, the album earned the biggest streaming day of 2025, with 309 million streams, and the second-biggest in Spotify history. It also made history as the first album ever to debut with an average of more than 20 million streams per track, averaging 20.8 million per song globally on Spotify.
