Taylor Swift continues to rewrite chart history. The Life of a Showgirl secures its 12th nonconsecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, extending Swift’s unmatched dominance into the new year. As reported by Billboard, the set earned 81,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the week ending Jan. 1, despite a post-holiday market slowdown.
With this latest milestone, The Life of a Showgirl becomes Swift’s second-longest-running No. 1 album, surpassing the 11-week chart reigns of 1989 and Fearless. Only The Tortured Poets Department, which logged 17 weeks at No. 1 in 2024, has spent more time atop the chart among Swift’s record-breaking 15 No. 1 albums—the most of any solo artist in Billboard 200 history.
Elsewhere on this week’s Billboard 200, Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem climbs to No. 2 with 69,000 units, while the K-Pop Demon Hunters soundtrack surges to No. 3. Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving reaches a new peak at No. 4, and Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend rounds out the top five with a strong rebound. Peso Pluma and Tito Double P’s DINASTÍA debuts at No. 6, marking Pluma’s third top 10 and Tito Double P’s first, powered almost entirely by streaming activity. The rest of the top 10 features returning chart-toppers including SZA’s SOS, Tate McRae’s So Close to What, and Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet.
